June 22, 2009 Lodge Meeting / EA Degree

On June 22, 2009 we were honored to initiate Matthew K McConnell into our fraternity. It was 50 years to the day that his grandfather, Cletis Raleigh, received his entered apprentice degree. Needless to say, Cletis was very happy to have his grandson come into our lodge and it was even more special being it was exactly 50 years to the day that he received his.

There were several visitors in attendance. We had two other recently made entered apprentices in attendance. One from Corydon 799 and one from Newburgh, IN Lodge 174. We also had visitors from Henderson 958 and Bailey-Onton 538.

Carl Grossman from Henderson 958 assisted us with the degree as a steward, presenting the charge, and a word when needed. He was a big help and was really appreciated.

A meal was prepared by Steve & Joe Hall, father & son duo, and served at 6 pm, with deserts prepared by Ike Potts & Dale Fritts. We were all well fed and enjoyed the fellowship that this night had to offer.

The only down note was the few brothers that we read out for non-payment of dues. Brothers, remember your dues are due January 1st. Your lodge needs this money to operate, so your prompt remitance is greatly appreciated.
